Two of our lab's students, Wenxin Tai and Xovee Xu, have been selected for the inaugural Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by CAST, Doctoral Student Special Plan. This year, only 27 doctoral students from UESTC were selected, Xu is one of the three selected from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, and Tai is the only one selected from the School of Information and Software Engineering. This outstanding achievement highlights the strength of our lab in nurturing PhD students and underscores our commitment to excellence in research & training.

Our paper, titled "RRE: A Relevance Relation Extraction framework for cross-domain recommender system at Alipay," has been selected as one of the few candidate papers for Best Papers and Best Student Papers at the 2024 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo (ICME) conference. This paper was completed by Xovee Xu and Jiayang Gu during their internships at Alipay.

The AI Algorithm Challenge 2023 is hosted by People's Daily Online and State Key Laboratory on Communication Content Cognition. Our lab won 2 runners-up and 3 third places in the Artificial Intelligence Challenge hosted by People's Daily Online, standing out among 852 teams from 176 schools. The content is Chinese.
